Engineering, at its very core, is an iterative decision-making process in which options are evaluated to convert available resources optimally to satisfy stated cost and performance goals. GrafiCalc 2007 is unique standalone software tool that combines the disciplines of sketching, calculations, and optimization within one application - to enable users to work with geometry in the same way as traditional spreadsheets work with numbers.

With GrafiCalc, users establish bi-directional associations between geometry, dimensions, empirical values, and units-aware calculations, in one worksheet, to specify electronic models that capture the functional intents of an engineering challenge.  Then as input and output parameters are changed, the entire electronic model is updated automatically to deliver precise solutions and design decision-support information.

GrafiCalc includes a powerful sketcher, incorporating automated geometric constraining technology especially designed for function modeling.  GrafiCalc sketcher is designed to be instantaneously familiar to users of any modern CAD application.  An extensive library of operators and built-in functions are available to setup geometry synchronous calculations (creating formulae in GrafiCalc is similar to creating formulae in popular spreadsheet programs).  Measurement tools are included to measure linear, angular, and radial relationships.  The measured values can be directly incorporated in the calculations.  GrafiCalc maintains double-precision floating-point accuracy in all calculation results.

A powerful Goal Seek wizard built within GrafiCalc enables users to backsolve exact geometry to meet stated measured or calculated design goals - such as area, cost, weight, fit, centroid location, clearance, distance, moment of inertia etc. – using just four mouse clicks!

Engineering drawings can be directly printed from within GrafiCalc.  Bi-directional DXF translator is built within GrafiCalc to enable users to exchange geometry with CAD and solid modeling applications.  A text tool helps to create annotations and engineering notes directly in the model space.

GrafiCalc is Windows standard CAD-neutral software that can be used standalone as well as in conjunction with all popular CAD and analysis applications.  GrafiCalc supports bi-directional Microsoft standard dynamic data exchange (DDE) that allows users to connect GrafiCalc to existing calculations and analysis tools.
